Kinect: It Only Does Nothing
Those of you who keep up with gaming news should know what I'm talking about here, but doesn't it seem like the Kinect is getting more and more hopeless as we learn more about it? I just read recently that there won't be any games that utilize the nifty 'item scanning' feature, at least not anytime soon. Then there's the fact that only a handful of countries' dialects will be recognized by the speech recognition (English, Spanish, and Japanese). Oh yeah, and did I mention that it's quite possible it won't work for people who are sitting down? Yeah... that'll go over real well.
All of this topped onto the fact that most gamers were pretty critical of the device to begin with. It'd be one thing if there were some truly good games coming along with it, but so far all we've seen are Wii Sports knockoffs.
I'm calling it now: it'll be reduced to $50 within the first 5 months.

Totally agree with you on that one. It's all just a lousy gimmick, like 3-D movies >.>.
ReplyDeletelol. Pretty sad of XBox.
ReplyDeleteyep, it's just a poorly conceived Wii Sports knockoff
ReplyDeleteI'll never by a Kinect, if i want motion control gaming i play my girlfriends Wii. /ENDGAME :D
ReplyDeleteWe can only hope it drops. Something tells me this thing will be phased out faster than Virtual Boy.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that it's not another gimmicky thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why they bother. Microsoft and technology generally = fail. I mean how long has the xbox 360 been around? And their solution to the red ring is to take it out completely rather then selling a quality product.
